Embracing the change, preserving our values.
I'm an Anchor Bay "Lifer". My mother and father graduated from Anchor Bay in the late 60's. I graduated from Anchor Bay in 1993. I have 1 daughter who graduated from Anchor Bay in 2023 and another daughter who will graduate from Anchor Bay in 2031. This school district has been a part of my life for my entire life. Growing up and graduating from this district was a cherished part of my childhood. I'm running for School Board so that future generations can have the same great experience that I did.
A growing school district is inevitable in a growing community like ours. Most parents I talk with want the district to grow in a way that meets the needs of a growing community without losing our small town feel. I share those concerns.
We must maintain the financial resources needed to invest in curriculum and CTE programs to prepare our students for the workforce of tomorrow,
Our most important resources are our human resources. We must properly invest in our human resources to ensure Anchor Bay attracts and retains the best Educators, Administrators and Support Staff.
This community stepped up when asked and approved a massive 10-year $169 million bond initiative to address aging buidings and infrastructure, security and safety in our buildings, and enhanced eduational programming.
We owe it to the voters and taxpayers of this community to hold the district accountable and ensure that when it comes to the bond, promises made are promises kept.
